[Ciel is sitting at his desk, writing in long fluid strokes. While he does look better, there is something...off about him. Perhaps it's the way he's shifting in his seat or perhaps it has something to do with the tight, angry expression on his face. Whatever it is, the Earl is unnerved.

Finally, he puts down his pen and struggles to stand up. Grimacing, he grips the desk and struggles to steady his breathing - which is suddenly becoming shallower and shallower. Tipping sideways, he falls to his knees and curls into a small ball.

His entire body is trembling and, though it is barely audible, it seems like he is whispering "Not again" over and over again.]

It's not the same. [He mutters, forcing himself to look up. A moment later, he scrambles back into his chair and bites back a hiss of pain.] I'm free.

[Glaring, Ciel reaches across the desk and pulls the recorder closer.]

What is causing this?

Some people have been having nightmares… others have been experiencing pain.

[The softness in Eagle’s voice indicates he is sorry that you have been ‘gifted’ with the pain option. ]

It is all related to what ever strange occurrence the City is going through right now. Have you noticed the clock? The ticking seems to much softer now.

Is the curse related to the clock? [He rubs his brow.] Perhaps someone should investigate it. [A sigh.] I will have Sebastian look into it.

[About his pain... Yeah. He's not going to spill many details on where he originally suffered said injuries.]

I find it difficult to believe that the clock suddenly becoming softer and these strange happenings are unrelated.

Does Sebastian know how to make it to the clock? I have searched for it on several occasions but I have never been able to find it.

[Eagle was curious about the source of Ciel’s pain, but he wasn’t going to ask. Since he also had a pain he wished to hide it would be a little hypocritical to ask others. However he is able to ask… ]

Is there anything that can be done to make you a little more comfortable until the pain subsides?

Such faith in your, butler, is he? It would be nice if he were able to discover the way to that clock. Though you should warn him to be careful if he goes into the underground. The creatures there are very stirred up.

People are saying a lot of odd things are going on. It's all been happening since that tower fell down.

[She's not asking if he's alright, but she will appear at some point with tea for the sake of it. She doubts it'll help much, since she's experiencing some aggravation herself.]

Instead of just feeling the pain, old wounds actually reopened for people. Those with life threatening ones had to endure the curse walking around cold. No pulse, no heartbeat...much like what happens when you die in the City.
