I've forgotten how much time has passed. I don't think it particularly matters to keep a calender. It's not as if I'm doing anything of supreme importance here. Sebastian and I are merely biding our time until we can return to London.

Then again, perhaps our time hasn't been completely wasted...

I think I understand this city a bit better. Deities are not the ones in control. There is something far more sinister pulling the strings. If I were to place a bet, I would put my money on some sort of demonic lordship.

We are but puppets on their marionette strings.

What is he like?

He's the most powerful meister in the world. He used to be very serious and threatening but he's calmed in the past few years, he set up the school I attend and has ran it in order to train other meisters and weapons to fight kishin eggs. I suppose he probably wanted a safer world to raise his family after he became sealed in Death City.

Yes he does. I've never seen his wife actually, but he has a son who's also a student. Death the Kid.

We're friends yes. He was here in the City for a time but was returned home. Truthfully as a shinigami he doesn't need to collect souls or train his own weapons, but he does so anyway, he takes his position seriously.

He's come and gone a few times, so I suppose there's little reason to doubt the chance he'll return. [It's a symmetry ocd thing.] Sadly not, and granted they are unusual but that comes from their families not being normal either. But...[Excuse her she's trying to not laugh here.] I've...known him for a long, trust me when I say he's not the sort to be that subtle. [How about school nurses who turn out to be witches and want to kill you?] I suppose that is true. I guess I should expect by now by most standards the education of a weapon like myself is not conventional in most worlds. It seems they're just inanimate objects, not...like me.
