♚ Seventeenth Move - {Audio}

[Ciel has decided that he really, really dislikes the games the City plays.

There is a bang and then a crash before the young Earl says anything.]

What the bloody hell is going on?!

SEBASTIAN!

[What? It's not like he's never been pissed before. But, for crying out loud, this has to do with food!]

Get back! [An old-fashioned pistol fires.] Don't touch me! [Ciel whacks the 'monster' with his cane and there is a nasty crack.]

Damnit. [Growled.]

[The recording cuts off.]

[Tsubaki was unaware how severe Ciel's asthma was, but she was concered regardless when he passed out. At least he seemed alright for the most part. Getting up from her seat she went to the bedside table and poured out a glass of water for the Earl from a pitcher she retrieved while he was asleep. She had to clean up the mess left in the kitchen anyway, so had brought the jug and glasses on her return, the one she had poured for herself while she has waited still sitting there.]

Well, I carried you. Since I did't know how long it would be before you woke up I thought you'd be more comfortable. [She just smiles softly back , helping to prop up the pillows so he could sit up before handing him the water.]

[Ciel sipped from the glass tentatively, his left eye focused solely on her.]

You are quite strong. I didn't know your powers were that...useful. [He set the glass down and leaned against the pillows.]

I know we spoke about your world before, but I find myself even more interested in it.

[It only really sunk in when Ciel spoke, but Tsubaki realized it fully, she had transformed in plain sightof someone else, and unlike other times, it wasn't an accident. Ciel's safety had been more important, and had overridden her usual feelings of caution when it came to showing her powers to people who didn't know about them.]

Well I train a lot, I suppose that had something to do with it. [Taking a sip from her own glass, she settled back down in her seat. True she had told the Earl some of the mechanics of how things world, she hadn't specified about her own abilities, but it wasn't as if she wanted to hide them. If he was curious and it wouldn't unnerve him, there couldn't be any harm.]

I suppose that makes sense. From what I've learned these past two years in the City a lot of things I deal with at home regularly are things of fantasy and horror to most people.
