At least that bloody music has ceased. [Ciel is currently eating a parfait. He idly sucks on the spoon, obviously enjoying the treat; though his face is blank of expression.] What was the point of that relentless cacophony?

[He finishes his dessert with a sigh, setting his spoon down.]

Oddly enough, I miss the gatherings in London. [He doesn't miss dancing, however.] I would like a speck of normalcy. [Even if it is annoying.]

[Ciel rises from his seat to greet her, giving her a bow in return. He then produces said doll, holding it out to her.]

Good day, Lady Hargreaves.

[Said doll is lightly perfumed and rather soft to the touch.]

[Merry reaches for it, first taking a good look at its appearance. Another minute or so is used to examine its details-- she had to be thorough, after all! When she is finally done examining it, she hugs it against her chest, smiling.]

It's very nicely made. Giving it a nice perfume smell is a good idea.

[Ciel gives her a private moment to examine the doll. While she is turning the toy around in her hands, he picks up a small book and flips through it idly.]

It's a lavender scent. That is supposed to be comforting.

[He puts the book down and tilts his head.]

Um, well, first of all, while I like the idea of using the perfume, I don't think it would be a good idea for mass production. That's a lot of perfume for a lot of teddy bears. Plus, some people may be allergic to the perfume too, and it definitely wouldn't be good for us to get complaints... So...maybe instead of spraying the perfume on the teddy bear, you could sell a perfume to go along with it instead?

That is a good idea, but you are mistaken in thinking the perfume comes from a bottle.

[He takes the doll and gently tugs on her collar. Around the doll's neck, there is a small locket. Within the locket, there is a tiny cluster of lavender petals.]
